Lasha's blog

Hi, I’m Lasha. I’m a senior software engineer who loves working on distributed systems and cloud-native architectures. One of my strengths is translating deep technical concepts into plain language so non-technical folks can understand the impact and value behind them. Most of my experience is in scaling SaaS, e-commerce, and fintech platforms, especially in fast-moving startup environments. I’ve learned that good engineering isn’t just about code — it’s about understanding the business, asking the right questions, and constantly improving what’s already there. I also care a lot about building inclusive, collaborative teams where everyone feels they can contribute.

On the tech side, I have a solid background in PostgreSQL, caching (Redis), and event-driven systems with Kafka and RabbitMQ. I’ve designed microservices architectures with a focus on Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, and Event Sourcing patterns.

I’ve led vendor evaluations and technology selection processes, making sure we choose solutions that actually fit the business instead of just chasing trends. When it comes to technical investments, I build clear business cases so stakeholders understand the trade-offs and long-term value. I put a strong emphasis on reducing technical debt in a way that doesn’t slow teams down — balancing the need for clean, scalable systems with the reality of shipping features at speed.
